Weekly News

Offseason, Offseason, Offseason. A time where some kick back and relax, and others train hard to make themselves better. Free Agent Signings has been going on for a while now. The only significant additions to the Jaguars were defensive end Reggie Hayward, who they signed from the Denver Broncos. Reggie is in his prime of his career, and will have great success with Marcus and John cloging up the middle. The other significant addition was cornerback, Terry Cousin. They signed him from the New York Giants. We don't know if he will get a starting job.
Another breaking story is if Donovin Darius will be playing with the Jaguars next season. He has said "The Jaguars logo doesn't mean as much to me as it once did." We will find out after the draft, which is coming up this month of April!

  Jags History
The Jaguars have made a name for themselves over the past years as a francise. Coming into the league in 1995, finishing the season 4-12, then blasting back witH A 9-7 season. You might not think 9-7 is good, but with that Record, the Jaguars made it all the way to the AFC Championship. They beat The Bills, and The Broncos to become in the championship round. The Jaguars could not keep things going, losing to New England.

The Jaguars best season came in 1999 when they finished 14-2, making it again to the championship round, and lost again. The Jaguars have not had a winning season in 4 years. They have stayed a consistant 6-10 for the past three year, and this season a 5-11 finish. We hope to see them have a winning season with their head coach, Jack Del Rio.

A New Era

The Second Year of the Jaguars "New Era" has passed. Jack Del Rio lead the Jaguars to a 9-7 season. The Jaguars came in 7th in the AFC, one team short of making the playoffs. The Jaguars could very well be a Playoff team next season, if Jack Del Rio keeps up the good work. The Jaguars will be a very good team to compete with next season. They could very well win the division.
